Through individualized support, compassionate staff, and structured daily living, we empower every young person in our care to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive — today and for the rest of their lives.

Who we are
MCITY Thrive is a residential group home program operating under the umbrella of MCITY Support Services, a dedicated organization committed to improving the lives of children and youth in Ontario. Founded on the belief that every child deserves stability, dignity, and pportunity, MCITY Thrive provides specialized out-of-home residential care within a structured yet warm and supportive setting.
What we do
MCITY Thrive operates a small, intimate residential home accommodating up to two children or youth at a time — a deliberate model designed to ensure truly individualized, high-quality care. Our team of dedicated Child and Youth Workers (CYWs) provides 24-hour supervision, structured daily routines, life skills development, educational support, recreational programming, and crisis intervention services in alignment with the Ontario Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA).
Why we exist
Ontario's child welfare system faces significant pressure to meet the growing demand for safe, high-quality residential placements. MCITY Thrive was established to address this gap — offering a home environment that prioritizes the social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of each child as a unique individual. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every child in our care receives a personalized plan tailored to their specific goals, challenges, and strengths.
Our model of care
Our care model is rooted in trauma-informed practice and strength-based approaches. We recognize that many of the children and youth who come to us have experienced significant adversity, and we respond not with punitive measures, but with patience, consistency, and compassion. Staff are trained in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and prohibited practices compliance, ensuring that the dignity and rights of every child are always upheld.
